Torrance is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Torrance is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I love bringing their nachos whenever I head over to a friend's house for beers. I've recommended this place to several friends, and every single one of them has loved it. I believe it's family-owned by an Asian family, and they're always incredibly kind and welcoming, which makes every visit a great experience. I eat here at least once a month because it's consistently that good. The portions are generous for the price, the ingredients are always fresh, and the quality never disappoints. Their poke bowls, onigirazu, and boba drinks are all excellent as well. Everything I've tried has been fresh, flavorful, and well made. If you're looking for delicious food with great value and friendly service, this place is definitely worth checking out.

4 stars. Great value and really good food at Sodam Boba and Poke Cafe. It’s a small dine-in spot with plenty of parking, reasonable prices, and very friendly owners. The servings are huge for the price β€” the regular size poke bowl could easily feed 2 people. I had the regular tuna poke bowl for around $14 and the chicken karaage onigiri for $6, and both were fresh and delicious. Not a lot of seating inside, but overall a great place for a tasty and filling meal.

A Hidden Gem Found: Sodam Boba & Poke Cafe Sodam Boba & Poke Cafe is the definition of a "if you know, you know" kind of spot. Tucked away and unassuming, it reveals itself as a stellar, family-owned gem that delivers on both quality and value in a way that’s becoming rare these days. The Food: Poke Bowls: The poke bowl is a standout. Not only is the fish fresh and delicious, but the portion sizes are genuinely impressive. Even for someone with a hearty appetite, these bowls are incredibly filling. It’s a refreshing change to find a place that doesn't skimp on the proteins or the base. Onigiri & Onigirazu: The menu offers great variety with items like Onigiri and Onigirazu. The Onigirazu (sushi sandwich) is a must-try; it features a perfect crispy texture and deep, savory flavor that makes it hard to have just one bite. Why It Stands Out: Exceptional Value: You get a significant amount of high-quality food for what you’re paying. In a market where poke can often feel overpriced and undersized, Sodam keeps it generous. Family-Owned Charm: The fact that it’s family-owned adds a layer of care and authenticity you can taste in the food. There’s a pride in the preparation that sets

HIDDEN TREASURE!!! I drive by this spot everyday to my office and never noticed it until one day it popped up on my Instagram feed. I'm so fortunate to have sampled it today. Don't be fooled by it's location or cozy size. It's hidden behind Subway close to El Torito. There's plenty of free self parking. Like previously mentioned, the restaurant is VERY cozy. There's bar seating too accommodate around six people. There's a restroom. Most people pick up for take out. The menu is on the wall and large screens above the self ordering touch screen kiosk. Looks like it's family run as they are SUPER friendly and genuinely helpful. Everything is made fresh to order. They do have a QR code to allow ordering in advance. Lucky it wasn't too busy when I arrived. But it got busier as I ate at the bar. There are lots of options to choose from. I ordered a bowl with salmon and tuna. It was HUGE. I substituted salad for the rice and added 3 tempura shrimp for $2. It was super fresh and yummy. Also got one Beef onigirazu and one Shrimp tempura onigirazu. Both were HUGE & DELICIOUS. Next time I'll try some of their drinks that look AMAZING. Prices are VERY reasonable. I'm guessing it's due

Easily the best poke spot in the South Bay. The portions are generousβ€”more than enough for two peopleβ€”and the prices are very reasonable. The fish and rice are perfectly seasoned, and they pair wonderfully with the three different salads. It’s a small, busy place, so ordering online ahead of time is a smart move for a smooth pickup. Definitely a must-try if you’re a poke lover.
